FAQs

What time do I have to be at the airport?

Check-In begins 2 hours prior to departure at the Gold Transportation ticket counter. We reserve the right to cancel the reservation or seat assignment of any customer who does not have a boarding pass at least 30 minutes prior to scheduled or posted departure time. The cancellation penalties outlined in the Tour Participant Agreement will apply - no exceptions.

Due to additional Transportation Safety Administration screening requirements, customers wanting to check baggage are required to do so at the ticket counter at least one (1) hour before departure. YOU ARE ONLY PERMITTED TO CHECK TWO (2) BAGS PER TICKETED PASSENGER - NO EXCEPTIONS!

What type of identification do I need?

All passengers (Adults 18 and over) will be required to show a U.S. federal or state-issued photo ID that contains the following: name, date of birth, gender, expiration date and a tamper-resistant feature. These IDs include:

  • U.S. passport
  • U.S. passport card
  • U.S. Military ID
  • Permanent Resident Card
  • Border Crossing Card
  • DHS-designated enhanced driver's license
  • Drivers Licenses or other state photo identity cards issued by Department of Motor Vehicles (or the equivalent) that meets REAL ID benchmarks (All states are currently in compliance)
  • A Native American Tribal Photo ID
  • An airline or airport-issued ID (if issued under a TSA-approved security plan)
  • A Registered Traveler Card (that contains the following: Name; Date of Birth; Gender; Expiration date; and a tamper-resistant feature)
  • A foreign government-issued passport
  • Canadian provincial driver's license or Indian and Northern Affairs Canads (INAC) card
  • Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)

Passengers who do not present an acceptable ID may be subject to additional screening. For more detailed information on the types of identification that will be accepted at airport checkpoints in the United States, visit the TSA Website.

What is the policy for carry-on and checked baggage?

You may bring one (1) carry-on bag plus a personal item (purse, briefcase, or laptop computer) on board at no charge.

  • A carry-on bag must fit under your seat or in the overhead bin.
  • Carry-on bag dimensions may not exceed 24 inches by 16 inches by 12 inches (61cm x 40.6cm x 30.5cm).
  • One (1) carry-on item is permitted in the aircraft cabin.
  • The following items are not counted as carry-on items: umbrella, assistive devices, outer garments (coats/hats/wraps), camera, car seat/stroller, infant diaper bag, pet container, reading material for the flight, or food for consumption on board the flight

We may require that a carry-on item travel as checked baggage if the item cannot be safely stowed on a particular flight. These requirements are subject to change without notice by the TSA. DUE TO WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS ONLY TWO (2) BAGS PER PERSON MAY BE CHECKED ON A FLIGHT. NO ADDITIONAL BAGS WILL BE ACCEPTED!

Where do I check-in at Atlantic City International Airport?

The terminal at Atlantic City Airport is rather small. Passengers are to check-in at the Gold Transportation Services counter. It is to your right as you enter the building.

Where do I check-in for the return flight?

You will check-in at the Fort Lauderdale Airport in Terminal 2 at the Delta Airlines Counter. Look for the FLORIDA FLIGHTS banner.

Can I check-in at the gate at either airport?

No, all passengers must check-in at the ticket counters and receive a boarding pass prior to going through security.

Can I pick a seat?

Yes. Prior to completing your booking process online, you will be asked to choose your seats. If you book over the phone, a representative will work with you to seat you as close as possible to your desired location. Seat Assignments will appear on your confirmation.

What type of aircraft will I be flying on?

A Boeing 737-200/300, 122 passenger aircraft operated by Sky king Airlines or a similar aircraft.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations must be made in writing to Gold Transportation Services, 9315 Amherst Avenue, Margate, NJ 08402 or via facsimile transmission to (609) 823-0206. Refunds will be issued per the following schedule:

If your notice is received:You will receive:
10 Days or more prior to the Departure Date of the first flight segment of your trip:A full refund less $150.00 per flight segment per person.
9 Days or less prior to the Departure Date of the first flight segment of your trip:No refund or credit for a future flight.

How old do you have to be to book a trip?

To book, you must be at least 18 years of age. Unescorted minors, under the age of 16, are not allowed on the aircraft.

Can I change my trip?

There is a fifty ($50.00) per segment change charge for any alteration made after twenty-four hours to a reservation plus any additional cost of the new ticket(s). Changes are permitted up to 24 hours prior to the first segment of your flight. You must call Florida Flights (609)487-6819 Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm to change a flight.

NO CHANGES OR REFUNDS PERMITTED FOR A PASSENGER WHO NO-SHOWS for a flight or segment. If you no show for the first segment of a round trip flight your entire trip will be cancelled and you will not receive a refund or credit for a future flight.

What is included in my ticket price?

Everything. Fares are either one way or roundtrip as indicated on your confirmation and include 7.5% Federal Excise Tax, Federal Flight Segment Fees of $3.80 per person per flight segment, September 11th Security Fee of $2.50 per person per enplanement, Passenger Facility Charges (PFC) of up to $4.50 per person per enplanement. There are no convenience fees, seat charges, carry-on or checked baggage fees. Plus lunch!

Can I bring a dog on the flight?

Small dogs may travel with their owner.
1)The dog must be in a FAA approved carrying case
2)The carrier must be leak free
3)The carrier must fit under the seat in front of you
4)The dog must have all updated shots, vaccines, etc. and a current Health Certificate stating same.
Please Note: Florida Flights must be notified in advance and approve the travel, as FAA regulations limit the number of animals on a flight.
